Dalmore has come up with a 51-year-old whisky, which has a jaw dropping price tag of £55,000. The whisky was initially matured in ex-Bourbon casks, which was followed by the liquid being split between Port Colheita 1938 casks, Matusalem Sherry casks and first-fill Bourbon casks. Then these liquids were combined in specially selected Bourbon barrels. The whisky is bottled at 40 percent ABV.

The Dalmore 51 Years is available with select retailers in domestic and travel retail markets. Tasting notes for the whisky include aromas of marmalade, oloroso Sherry, balsamic, caramel,  molasses and pears soaked in tawny Port. The whisky is endowed with flavours of plums, raisins, ginger cake sprinkled with Demerara sugar and vanilla pods, leading to treacle sponge, hot chocolate, wholemeal toast, pineapple and sultanas on the finish.
