In the ongoing election fever in India, it seems high-pitched propaganda machinery has taken not only conventional and innovative means, but also bizarre and even shameless forms.
According to the report of a leading daily, ahead of general elections, stickers of candidates along with their party symbols were spotted on liquor and beer bottles, in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
People in public meetings in Andhra Pradesh were seen having beer bottles with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) stickers.
According to a news report, Rs.40 million worth liquor was seized in Telangana since the first week of March. How can the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh stay far behind? Liquor worth over Rs. 90 million had been seized from Andhra Pradesh till 10 th April.
