Illicit Liquor Seized from Haryana

As the electoral season goes in full swing, on 24 th April the Haryana police announced that it had seized over Rs.13 crore worth of illicit liquor, drugs and unaccounted cash.  This initiative has followed the setting up of model code of conduct on 10 th March after the announcement of election schedule. The cache included more than two lakh sixty eight thousand litres of IMFL, beer and country-made liquor worth over Rs 4.52 crore.

Haryana DGP, Manoj Yadava said the police had come up with check-posts and barricades at interstate borders to prevent the flow of illicit liquor, unaccounted for cash, drugs and arms and to prevent any unlawful activity during the election process.
