No Drinking of Alcohol in Public During Carnival Float Parades in Goa
Goa’s state government has declared that from this year onwards the consumption of liquor in public will not be permitted during the Goa Carnival float parades. This year’s carnival in Goa will be held during 22nd-25th February.
According to Goa’s Tourism Minister, Manohar Ajgaonkar, the move is part of the ban on drinking alcohol in public places in Goa, which is already effective in the state.
