Prashant Suryawanshi has been recently appointed as the Executive Chef at Courtyard by Marriott, Siliguri. He has brought to the table a dynamic and innovative energy to the diverse food options offered at Courtyard by Marriot Siliguri.
Leading the kitchen management team vis-à-vis daily operations, he is also responsible for ensuring quality standards in compliance to food and beverage policies, plan and price menus, managing controllable expenses (such as supplies, food cost and uniforms), maintenance of departmental equipment, supervising food presentation, working in tandem with the catering department and reviewing staffing levels to bolster guest services. Prashant’s career has been on an upswing thanks to his exposure to top-of the-line hospitality brands after completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from Pune University. Before his present job, he has successfully managed to please the palates of the most exclusive clientele through his role as Head Chef at Fairfield by Marriot, Lucknow and as Sous Chef at Courtyard by Marriot, Pune Hinjewadi. Working for Taj Residency, Nasikat the beginning of his career followed by a long stint at Novotel Hyderabad Airportas Chef De Partie allowed this young chef to develop his own creativity in food and move up the ladder by extending his skill-sets to all aspects of the culinary industry. Outside the kitchen, Prashant is social, fun-lovingand a big foodie himself. His hobbies include indulging in all kinds of trekking trips and relaxing by listening to music.
